Showed up for appt. To find out office had closed. Was out of town and drove 200 miles to get to appt. Had no med. When I called Beaumont office, I was told that they couldn't take my insurance there even if I wanted to go to Beaumont. It takes a lot of time to close surgical practice. Dr. Allen probably knew that the practice would be closed when I was given the appointment. Very unethical in my opinion.
Dr. Allen has just recently moved his practice to Texas. Not a huge loss, though. Never did enough to help alleviate severe chronic pain from degenerative disk disease, coupled with spinal injury from car accident (which I had to have surgery for). Seemed to be too afraid to prescribe anything strong enough to actually help the crippling pain.
