I experienced a broken tibia with compartment syndrome in July 2017. Dr. Axelrad was on duty at Lake Charles Memorial and I am extremely grateful he was. After I noticed severe pain in my right calf after I was diagnosed with a broken tibia, Dr. Axelrad immediately knew what my symptoms were. If you don't know the dangers of compartment syndrome, as I wasn't aware of such a condition, you will find it is very serious. Leg amputations and even death can be the result of this condition. Dr. Axelrad got me immediately into surgery and as a result saved my lower right leg. I am so blessed that he was there to treat me and my prognosis is a full recovery! If you ever need an orthopedic doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Thomas Axelrad in Louisiana. Thanks Doc!
