Not being from this area and trying to establish a doctor is hard enough without the issues I have encountered in just phone calls with the scheduling staff at this office. I am still waiting on a phone call back to schedule an appointment (good thing i wasnt holding my breath) from the other day. Today I call back (because i understand things happen) to have the most RUDE woman answer my phone call. I tell her about my situation, im trying to establish a doctor, i would like to be seen for a current issue, I have called before for appt but didnt receive one, etc ... I am then met w a "annoyed sigh" as she ask questions for answers I have already given. Look, if you dont like your job or dealing w the public there is NO need to take it out on the customer. So, obviously I'm bothering her by wanting to bring myself to this medical office for my medical needs. The doctor I wanted to see may be the best doctor in this area, but I wont know because I refuse to be treated like that!!!
I have been a customer for Many years. I put up with the rude and lazy front desk help because I was ok with the doctors. During the time I was a customer (almost 15 years) my doctor was replaced 4 times. Doctors come and go allot here. This last transfer I was informed that all doctor Sammi's patents were moved to LSU medical center. So I called to get a prescription refilled and was told I would have to see the good doctor before he would refill any meds. Note this is kidney stone medicine Not pain meds or anything that has any street value. The soonest I could get in was at least three weeks out. Unbelievable I have about seven days of this medication and they can't do anything to accommodate my situation. So much for being a loyal customer. I have decided to leave memorial hospital group and wish them well. As for anyone reading this review I strongly recommend any other medical group out there. These folks just don't get it....
