This being my first visit to L'Auberge casino, I want sure what to expect. The atmosphere was wonderful. The main hallway had beautiful Christmas scenes at up periodically. The whole casino was decorated very tastefully and definitely added to the overall positive experience. The staff was pleasantly attentive and personable. We stopped at 2 different bar areas and found the bartenders to be warm and friendly. I recall one of the bartenders by name, Moe. A very witty and entertaining fellow. The food was as visually appealing as it was heavenly to the taste buds. The machines are fun and fair. We would have left winning but it was decided beforehand that we would play everything back unless we hit a killer jackpot so even though we didn't leave with filled pockets, we left satisfied and entertained. All in all a 5 star evening. No complaints whatsoever.
The main areas of the hotel are beautiful. I appreciate the craftsman style and touches of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The rooms are nice and spacious but a little odd with the mix and match furniture. We were on the 9th floor next to the service elevators. The view was great but the noise was distracting. I loved getting a birthday medallion and cupcake. All staff I came in contact with were super friendly and helpful!
Checked into the hotel around 7pm. I had a work Christmas party that my wife and I attended. The conference room or ball room was very nice ,and the service was great. We then did a bit of gambling before heading up to the room around 1 am. When we first stepped in the room, we instantly noticed the dirty carpet. I could not tell you when the last time the floor was vacuumed. The whole feeling made me uneasy. If they did not clean the carpet what else did they not clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I may gamble there but don't think I will ever sleep there again.
I went to the buffet at L'Auberge with two other adults. The food was very good and the desert bar in particular was fantastic. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, really pleasant. Afterwards we walked around the hotel lobbies and the decor everywhere is lovely. In particular we noticed a gorgeous and unusual flower arrangement and got to speak with the lady who makes them in a small flower shop in the lobby. Wow. Lots of details and special touches throughout this resort.
Wow! wow! It’s another wonderful trip we have in L’Auberge again. Had fun play in the casino, and enjoyed delicious Asian cuisine in the Asia restaurant. It’s Thanksgiving Day, so happy to be here having this great holiday season atmosphere. Have a takeout nice pecan pie to savoring back home. Look forward to making more trips to Lake Charles in the near future.
